Alessia Ansaldi was born in Milan, Italy in 1972. She studied Industrial Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design(IED) in Milan, graduating in 1995 with honours.
Her specialty was jewellery design, and she learned goldsmith techniques and other practical skills while collaborating with 'Studio Vigna' and with 'Monile'.
After graduating she began to work as a designer for M.Frey Wille in Vienna, Austria, leading manufacture of enamel jewellery. After one year she became manager of new products and ledthe setup and presentation
of window displays throughout Europe.
After 4 years she returned to Italy and became a freelancer for M.Frey Wille, and for Majorica S.A creating part of the 1999-2000 collection. She recently finished a course
in entrepreneurial opportunities for women artisans in order to improve her global
presence and distribution.
